Discipleship at Winchester Anglican

How do you 'do' discipleship at your church? We get this question all the time. In addition to corporate worship, and community groups, this fall we are offering new, online discipleship courses for adults, students, and children. Scroll down for more information:)

  • Adult Discipleship

Beginning September 8, 2020 - This fall, we are offering  a new course for Adult Discipleship:

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality  (EHS) - Led by Patrick Ware

    • EHD is a two book series starting with the first course called emotionally healthy spirituality (EHS - which we are offering this fall) followed by the second, follow up course emotionally healthy relationships (EHS - which we intend to run in the winter or spring). These two courses work together to help the disciple develop in their ability to love god and to love people.

    Ephesians through the OneBook Daily

This fall the student ministry will be studying the book of Ephesians through the OneBook Daily – Weekly series. Students will take part in daily devotional readings using the OneBook Daily – Weekly workbook as we explore the rich truths that God explains to us in Ephesians. Bi-weekly group discussions will take place where the main ideas of the schedule readings will be discussed. Come join us for an awesome time in God’s word on Wednesdays evenings, starting September 9 (by Zoom).

  • Children's Discipleship (3yr - 5th grade)

    Beginning September 6, 2020

    - In the book of Deuteronomy Moses has learned that he will not be going into the Promised Land and he joined his people together to retell the events of their past and to recount the law and love of God once more as he said farewell. In the midst of this retelling he reminded them to "keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen...[and] Make them known to your children and your children's children..." (Deut. 4:9). We at Winchester Anglican want to partner with you in making known to all the children in our care the deeds and greatness of our God. This fall we are studying the Old Testament from Creation through the time of the Judges. Because we cannot meet to do this in person, we are using What's In the Bible as a spine to our discipleship offerings.

Each family will receive a packet in the mail with short, easy to follow lesson plans, a weekly email with a video link lesson, and a monthly link to a fun Zoom lesson with all the families in the church. As usual we will be learning our Memory Verses from the Scripture we are studying and giving out prizes to encourage and reward participation.
