GAC 2035 Vision

We're calling our ten-year vision: "GAC 2035"  As the church grows, we want to maintain and strengthen the areas of ministry that the Lord has already developed in our community (our "CORE4"), while pressing forward to grow in 4 primary areas of ministry (our "NEXT4").

This strategic vision for the church's care, management, and development should include:

  • A strategic plan to restructure the staff in order to meet the current and developing needs of the church.
  • A strategic plan to maintain our ministry culture while maturing our ministry comprehensiveness.
  • A strategic plan to maximize the facilities of the church in order to provide for growing congregational programming and fellowship.
  • A strategic plan to develop and raise funds to provide for ministry, staff, and facility development.

How do we foresee the church transforming over the next decade if we achieve this vision?

It's our hope that over these years of the church's formation, as the great commission (Matthew 28:16-20), and the great commandments (Matthew 22:36-40) direct all we do, for God's glory,  all 4 of our new ministry initiatives will be fully integrated into the life and discipleship of the chruch. If this happens, we hope to become:

A Church that makes disciples, who form their lives around the Great Commandment and the Great Commission by:

  • Worshiping the Lord in spirit and in truth (Jn. 4.23)
  • Living out their faith in groups with other believers to live out the ‘one another's’ and reach and serve people together (Hebrews 10:24 25).
  • Raising up the children of the church to know and serve the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:6-8)
  • Pursuing maturity in Christ for the full span of life (Ephesians 4:15-16).
  • Giving generously to the Lord’s work in the church and in the world. (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
  • Championing the sending of missionaries at home and abroad to share and proclaim the gospel to all nations (Matthew 24:14).
  • Serving the poor and vulnerable in their lives and in our church community in reverence and love for Christ (Matt. 25.40)
  • Training pastors to serve the church and in the world (2 Timothy 2:1-7).
