Summer 2024

This summer (May 26th - resuming September 8th) we will pause our regular Discipleship classes for children.  We hope this allows families the joy of worshiping in the service together, while also offering our teaching team a break.  We offer childcare for children ages 8 and younger in the Littles Room at 9am and 11am. 


We require a minimum of 8 adults to serve in Children's Ministry each Sunday in order to offer Discipleship and childcare.  The more volunteers we receive, the less frequently we need each person to serve.


We need adults to serve as:

  • Teachers

  • Classroom assistants

  • Substitutes

  • Littles Room caregivers


If you have been attending Grace for at least 6 months, would you prayerfully consider whether you could serve in Children's Ministry when we resume classes in the Fall?  We welcome mature Christians who love God's Word and enjoy serving kids to join the team.

Children's Summer Programming

Eastham Park Walk or Bike

Saturday, June 29th

All Children's Ministry families are invited to meet up at Eastham Park in Front Royal on Saturday, 6/29, from 10am-12pm for a fun morning outdoors.  We'll meet at the yellow playground to walk (or bike or scooter) the shady paved trail running parallel to the Shenandoah River.  Bring water shoes and fishing poles if you'd like to wade or fish. 




Game & Craft Gathering

Sunday, July 14th

Bring your favorite board game, a snack to share, and join us on 7/14 from 10:45am-12:15pm for game time at the church (exact room TBD).  All Children's Ministry families are welcome.  We'll have light snacks, a few craft options and a variety of games to play.  Parents and siblings are welcome to join in the fun.  RSVP to Elise Medina.

Training for Volunteers

Saturday, August 24th

Saturday, 8/24, from about 9am - 12pm we offer training for all Children's Ministry volunteers.  Abuse prevention, safety and teacher training provided.  We'll have more details as the date approaches. 

Children's Ministry

Grace Anglican welcomes the opportunity to walk along side families as they seek to raise their children in the grace, knowledge, and love of God.  


Children are always welcome in our Sunday morning worship services, however we also offer further programming for children of all ages.

Children's Discipleship Classes

September 8, 2024 - May 2025

Littles' Room

We offer childcare for children ages 3 & under during the 9:00am service and encourage all school age children to attend Discipleship Classes during that time. 


During the 11:00am and holidays childcare is offered to all children ages 8 & under. 

Middles' Room

Discipleship Classes are offered to the Middles' Class to children ages 3 years to 1st grade.  This year they are studying Genesis.

Bigs' Room

Discipleship Classes are offered to the Bigs' Class to children from 2nd-5th grade.  Bigs Class digs a little deeper and covers more of the Scriptures than Middles, but will also be studying the book of Genesis.
